Broad
Product Range Fits Any Application
A variety of power ratings and output
voltages are available for global needs.

|
|
Wide
Input Voltage Ensures Global Use
AC multi-voltage input ranging from 100 to
240 V facilitates compliance with any application for domestic or export
use.

Undervoltage
Alarm Function Standardized for
All Models
The undervoltage alarm indicator helps
reduce the production-line down-line caused by a drop in S82K output
voltage. If the output voltage DC drops to within 90% to 75% of the rated
output voltage due to an error such as load half-short-circuiting, the red indicator of the S82K will be lit immediately. This allows the user to
identify the output status of the S82K without using a tester. The S82K
90-W, 100-W and 240-W T-type models have an undervoltage alarm
output (contact output) in addition to the indicator. This output turns ON
at the moment when the indicator is lit and enables an alarm signal
output. With this feature, for instance, a warning message can be
displayed on a connected display such as a Programmable Terminal. Thus,
this will help improve the total productivity of your system by allowing
for the immediate detection of a voltage drop. This feature is useful in
battery-backup/charging applications, such as security and lighting
control.

Complies
with the CE Marking Requirements
and Meets a Variety of International
Standards
The S82K has obtained essential
international safety standards approvals to ensure that your system
complies with industrial control panels, information technology systems,
etc.
EN50178 (VDE0160)/ UL508 Listing/ CSA C22.2
No. 14
EN60950/ UL1950/ CSA C22.2 No.950
The UL Listed Power Supplies can be used at
100% of its ratings without any derating at any location. In addition, the
S82K is now Class 2 approved for DeviceNet control applications or other
devices requiring a Class-2 power source. Besides, EN50081-1 conformance
ensures that your system can be used in any location subject to EMC
environment. That's really an ideal solution.

Ideal
Terminal Arrangement Enables Easy, Quick, and Safe Wiring
To ensure easy, error-free wiring, the
output terminals of the S82K are located on the upper side of the casing
and the input terminals are located on the lower side of the casing. Also,
to make wiring even easier, the S82K 30-W and 50-W models have 2 pairs of
output terminals and the S82K 90-W, 100-W and 240-W models have 3 pairs of
output terminals, to which load devices can be directly connected.
Needless to say, the terminal block is finger-safe in accordance with
VDE0160/P100.

Power
Factor Corrector (PFC), Complies with
EN61000-3-2, Suppresses Harmonic
Current Emission, and Reduces Input Current
S82K Switching Power Supplies now have
models with a built-in PFC that eliminates noise interference in the
operation of power installations ranging from 90W-240W. This required AC
input current value for the S82K has been successfully reduced up to
approx 50% of that of a conventional power supply with the same capacity.
This is ideal for users who want to use thinner cables.
