Type 2 Human Body Sensor for Production Equipment

Be sure to use the E3FS Sensor with the F3SX Safety Controller. Connects to the B1 Module of an F3SX Safety Controller to create a Type 2 Safety Sensor.

Sensor Heads Available in Two Types: ABS Resin and Metal

Both types conform to IEC standards with IP67 degree of protection.

Maximum Sensing Distance of 10 m

Connect up to 3 sets in series. Prevents mutual interference.

Up to 3 sets can be connected in series by using both the standard model and a series-connection model with a connector. You can create a 3-set system by just wiring one set - no need to wire three sets separately as was required with earlier models. This facilitates protection for all dangerous machine and device surfaces. Mutual interference is also prevented.

Connect up to 4 E3FS Sensors per B1 Module to the F3SX Safety Controller

Note: The B1 Module is an input module for E3FS Sensors. It is made specifically for the F3SX Safety Controller. The safety output turns OFF when light is interrupted or when an error occurs for one or more E3FS Sensors connected to the B1 Module.

Connect up to 4 E3FS Sensors per B1 Module to the F3SX Safety Controller

This is achieved using an F3SX-E-B1B1B1B1 (customized product).

Can be used in combination with Light Curtains, Door Switches, and other safety equipment

E3FS Single-beam Safety Sensors were added to the F3SX Series of Safety Controllers to allow one unit to handle all required inputs and outputs.

Applications

For Gaps in Small to Medium-sized Equipment

Use as a safety measure for protection from hazardous gaps or as guards for medium-sized equipment.

The E3FS is a Human Body Detection Sensor (Type 2) for production equipment. Make sure to use it in combination with a F3SX Safety Controller. A combination of E3FS and E3ZS Sensors can be connected to the B1 Module of the F3SX.

* Since the E3FS has not received any safety certification for use by itself, make sure to connect it with an F3SX for use in safety applications.
